| Brief History |
| |
The Company with its Medical &
Scientific Division was established in Kuwait in 1971.
The Med & Sci Division was and still continues to supply the Ministry
of Health and other private medical Clinics in Kuwait with all types
of medical equipment such as wheelchairs, laboratory supplies etc. |
| |
| Director |
| |
| Mr. Ali S. Al-Adsani was appointed as
Director of the The Med & Sci Division upon his return from the
UK in 1997 after serving for nearly 20 years as a Diplomat holding
the position of Health Attache in Kuwait Health Office at 40 Devonshire
st. , london W1. |
| |
| Function |
| |
| Because of his experience and extensive
knowledge of the UK Hospitals and consultants, Mr. Al-Adsani has developed
a new service aimed at helping private Kuwaiti and non-Kuwaiti nationals
who require high quality diagnostics and treatment in the UK. |
| |

| |
| Investigations & Admission |
| |
All outpatient investigations and admission
are to be carried out within the HCA group of hospitals where possible.
If its necessary for specialist reasons to admit an Al-Abraq patient
to a non-HCA hospital, the patient should be transferred to an appropriate
HCA unit
( as soon as the patient's condition permits ). |
| |
| Payments |
| |
| All Al-Abraq private patients are responsible
for settling their own accounts unless authorised by a letter of guarantee
from Mr. Keith Erskine, International Medical Liason, HCA International
consultants, hospitals, nursing homes and any other medical department
must make sure that the patient settles his account before departure
to Kuwait as it is extremely difficult to trace the patient in Kuwait
for any outstanding account. |
| |
| Information about patients |
| |
Every patient has reference number - e.g.
ABRAQ 001/01
This number is very important and must be used in all correspondence.
Every patient will be given an admission form with full details about
his admission.
Every patient will have an introduction letter addressed to the consultant
to be presented during the first consultation.
If the consultant wishes to refer the patient to another colleague
or admit to hospital, we would very much appreciate that Mrs. Baz
would be informed of this action. This will help us to follow the
patient's movements. |
| |
| Finally |
| |
| Al-Abraq Co. is committed to ensuring that
its patients receive the highest quality diagnostics and care and
has chosen HCA Hospitals as its prime Uk healthcare provider. |
